DESCRIPTION: WW - Heuer Calculator Chronomatic, automatic, 46mm x 48mm to lug tips, 22mm lug width, original stainless steel screw back case with bi-directional slide rule bezel, round slotted pump pushers set on opposite side of winding crown, original black leather ralley strap and stainless steel buckle signed Heuer, original black dial with applied silver lumed indices, date aperture at 6, two inset subregisters with orange accents for minute recording and subsidiary seconds, 17J cal 15, s#266356, triple signed. Includes the original red Heuer box with checkered flag design and original instruction manual in how to operate the slide rule. Part of the historically significant partnership for project 99, Heuer along with Hamilton/Buren, Breitling and Dubois-Depraz set out to construct the world's first automatic chronograph, although who was truly "first" is up for endless debate among vintage collectors.
CONDITION: Mvt: Running, chronograph functions and resets properly, nearly mint cosmetic mvt condition overall, no oxide; flawless dial; mint bright orange hands; unpolished case shows hardly any wear, still retains all of its original factory finishing, aluminum slide rule bezel with no pits or paint scrapes, no dents or dings; original signed Heuer crown shows hardly any wear; good plastic crystal. Box shows very little wear.
